Accounting Manager (Property/Real Estate/Development)

Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join their dynamic team in the San Francisco Bay Area. This role is pivotal in leading monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for a multifamily real estate portfolio. The Accounting Manager will oversee both in-house and outsourced accounting teams, ensuring accurate GAAP-based reporting and joint venture rollups.

Responsibilities

  • Manage monthly close and financial reporting processes.
  • Review complex transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and joint venture activity.
  • Interpret legal agreements to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Mentor accounting staff and enhance department processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business (CPA preferred).
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a management role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience in real estate/property management is required.
  • Experience with Yardi is a plus.

Required Work Hours

The position requires availability from Monday through Friday.
